We open up seeing the aftermath of the Punishers attack on the hospital to get to Matt and Foggys client. Foggy walks up on the news and the police at the hospital and starts to get concerned about Matt because he heard about gunshots being fired. Foggy runs off to start looking for Matt on different rooftops. He eventually finds him knocked out from a gunshot to the head. Which we seen in the final moments of episode 1. Foggy helps get Matt home helps him with his wounds and voices his disagreement about what Matt's doing. Which I could see that I mean they have been best friends and they practice laws together so I wouldn't want my friend doing all of this for the city especially since Punisher kills first and questions later.
We cut to the police precinct with Foggy and his client who is now going into protective custody because of the Punisher. No one can seriously believe at this point it's one man doing all of the shooting and the killing. The police even state they have seen no one like this before.
The next scene cuts back to Matt in his apartment trying to take some medicine and he's not having much success. He seems to be having some issues with his hearing after being shot. He misses a glass and notices that he cannot hear. If he can't hear he can't be Daredevil because his abilities are off his balance will be off so if he is stuck until he heals up.
Foggy who is trying protect his client is trying to protect him from the District Attorney's office and get him into witness protection. He isn't able to detour the DA but he is still able to represent his client. The DA's office finally provides the Punisher codename to Foggy. So we finally have a name! Which is awesome they finally provide his name in good fashion while they have reports of all the men he has killed or what information they have.
We can see the Punisher in a pawnshop buying communication equipment and getting guns and more information so he can track the police. He's set off by the man offering him adult films as he was leaving he turns back around and goes back to attack and kill the pawnshop clerk. I mean of course he's an antihero but he still has things that he gets upset about. And children and families must be a soft spot with the Punisher.
We can see Foggy and Karen talking about how these criminals keep finding her. She's working through the reports that the DA provided. Foggy has to talk her out of what she says is bad luck and what she thinks she deserves. How could she not think she deserves this she's always in the middle of what's going on. Foggy of course is providing some positive feedback and the two end up on a high note, but you can still see she's terrified that she may be next.
Matt who is seems to be able to hear is still in his apartment is finally able to hear again when he notices a knock at his door. It's Karen who is still upset over being shot at in the hospital. She confronts Matt and he has trouble explaining what's going on and just keeps denying everything. Karen seems to know what's going on. She doesn't say anything just offers her help. Again keeping secrets when you're the Daredevil and you're getting shot at and beaten nightly is going to be hard especially from one of the only three people in his circle. They start discussing the Punisher as being crazy or something that they have created because of the Daredevil. Karen seems to think that Daredevil is the reason for the Punisher. That the Punisher feels he needs to kill and do what he does because the Daredevil forces him to be a killer.
Matt decides at this point to go check out if his suit can be repaired from the gunshot wound. Of course the man who created his costume cannot fully fix the mask. He would have to create a new one for him. Of course Matt wanted the mask back so he asked him to just reinforce the cracked one until the new one could be made.
The Daredevil has to be out to protect his city without him of course they would stand no chance against the Punisher. Matt is going from place to place that the Punisher had killed I'm Hell's Kitchen trying to find him or some clue that is linked to him. It seems as though he finds the Punishers hideout by hearing the police scanner that was on. Of course it's protected by a dog that Matt has to make friends with. And unfortunately Punisher wasn't home he was busy. He was out doing what he does best killing killers.
Seems like a good time for Matt to be in his apartment while the Punisher isn't there. Of course he hears the position of the police on the scanners and come to find out that it's Foggy and Karen using their client to catch a drug dealer so that he can make a deal. Something that the Punisher may have some interest in. The deal is he has to get the drug dealer in order to get out into witness protection. So that he can get away from the Punisher. There's doesn't seem much of a chance that he can get away from the Punisher no matter how far from Hell's Kitchen he gets.
As the plan continues Grotto is caught in a crossfire between the cops and the Punisher. Who is then attacked again by Daredevil. They both fight it out while being shot at and eventually go through the skylight of a building. Foggy can see all of this happening on the cameras in the room he is waiting in and runs out to try to find Matt and they are both gone.
So far this season is turning out to be just as good as the first one. Matt seems to be having same issues with the Punisher, but he spent the entire first season getting beaten up so he can take it. The Punisher so far has been portrayed great. He doesn't seem to give a damn about being judge, jury, and executioner. Which is exactly how the Punisher should be.
