The return of the Reverse Flash!

Barry Allen and Team Flash are finally back!
This Episode starts out with Barry having a nightmare, of course about his girlfriend and Zoom. Zoom is taking Patty to the top of a building and throwing her off, and Barry doesn’t seem fast enough to save her. Which sort of foreshadows the entire episode considering the Meta-Human is code named Turtle, and his power is making everything slow. Barry faces one of his toughest challenges yet with not really having to deal with being slow or losing his speed. Barry is gaining new enemies every episode that have some sort of personal attachment to him, not just the normal every week Meta-Human. This episode Harrison Wells has fully turned against Barry just like the Harrison Wells of Earth 1. Harrison Wells has decided that it was time to turn against Barry and help Zoom for his own personal benefit of saving his daughter Jesse. Barry however is clueless to this and just thinks he is trying to help him slow Zoom down to make it a fair fight. Cisco is helping Harry with the project to help Barry. Cisco is the one who comes up with the idea that they could try to use the Turtle. A guy who makes it seem like he is stopping time, because he is slowing everything down around him that is his power. He has stolen everything he can get his hands on, but would be perfect for Barry and company to figure out so they could use his abilities. Team Flash decided they want to go after him to draw him out. Barry figures out who he is and goes after him, in a failed attempt. Barry needs to learn that he can’t just keep running into everything without a plan I think he needs another training session with Oliver. After the failed attempt Barry and Team Flash started to try to find different ways that they could stop Turtle. They didn’t really come up with anything different just more ways to draw him out. So this time they decided to use some sort of social function to get Turtle out in the open. The only thing different is that this time Barry had invited Patty which put her in harms way. Barry had to react and save her, which gave away that Barry cared for Patty which would give Turtle an advantage. Turtle now knew that the Flash was vulnerable. He decided to kidnap Patty. Meanwhile during this episode Joe was trying to catch up with his son Wally. Wally West! Glad to see him finally partake in an episode of the show! Even though he is breaking the law to keep his mother alive. Joe didnt understand why Wally was being so distant and wasn’t coming around. Mostly because he didn’t want anything to do with him because he was already a grown man and had made it this far. Joe caught him however street racing, he let him off without arresting him. Barry was still having issues with Turtle, this time he had taken Patty so Team Flash had to figure out where to. Cisco figured out who Turtle was married to and suggested that he would have Patty there, so Barry took off after her. During this event we find out that something is wrong with Jay Garrick, not exactly what but we do find out that he is sick, and the only way to cure him is getting his speed back. Cisco and Harry are still trying to figure out a useful way to slow Zoom down. Barry had to face Turtle and save Patty so he had to figure out how to push himself through the pulses of Turtle’s abilities. In order to save Patty he had to run about 5 miles from the storage facility to be able to make it through the pulses of Turtle’s power. Barry was successfully able to save Patty. This episode would end sad for Barry, he ended up losing Patty. She decided that if he couldn’t be there for her when he needed to be that she was going to leave the police force and go back to school. This might be bad for Barry, but its great for everyone else he can finally get on with his life with Iris. It would also end bad for Turtle, he was captured and put into the holding cell but would later be killed by Harry. This episode taught us that Barry has very few people close to him that he can trust. I also think he needs to calm down on his whole I’m gonna tell everyone I’m the Flash. That is endangering him and his group of people and family. Not to mention someone could release his identity to the press. Which also wouldn’t be good for Barry. I give this episode a 7/10 it was a good episode in its own right, but the only two things I found interesting at all was the fact that Harry(Earth 2 Harrison Wells) is going to turn on Barry just like Earth 1 Harrison Wells, and Patty left Barry. *This episode opens up a future for Barry and Iris. *The Episode shows Harrys true colors *They found a way to slow down Zoom(Hopefully) *Wally doesn’t seem to have his abilities which brings the question of will he get powers if and when Jay Garrick gets his back? Next weeks episode will be the origin story of the Reverse Flash, before the events of killing Barry Allen’s Mom. I can’t wait! |
