Valon smiled, his sword still laying by his side. The one thing Reiely hadn’t even noticed, and it would be his undoing. At least that was Valon’s plan for the moment. Valon started for the sword, but Reiely grabbed him bu the throat and pushed him to the floor, the guards took two steps in, just to protect their King.
“Why smile, you’re just a soldier nothing more than a warrior sent out to die! What difference do you think it makes the one will stand against all? I am a King I do what I want to who I want!”
“You’re not a King, you’re just a boy! A stupid child who was given to much power because of me! I plan to take that power away!” Valon answered.
Valon grabbed Reiely’s arm broke it and shoved him to the floor. He grabbed his sword and stood, the guards had closed in around him and stood at a circle. Valon knew he would need to fight his way out, so he prepared himself to do so. He ran past Reiely who was on the floor screaming in pain, grabbing his arm. Valon had no intentions of killing anyone he needed to find a way out. John was somewhere in the castle and he needed to find him, he couldn’t leave him there for Reiely. Valon ran back down to the dungeon, and searched every room there, there was no one no prisoners being held. He doubled back to the other side of the castle. All he found was Tyrell, searching through books in his study.
“You’re the Kings magician aren’t you?” Valon asked.
“I’m not a magician! I am a sorcerer, I serve no one! I am in a partnership with the ruler of this castle!” Tyrell replied.
Valon was in disbelief that someone had spoken to him like that, grabbed Tyrell turned him around and knocked him out. Valon grabbed what books he had scooped him up and carried him out of the castle. John was no where to be found, so Valon decided to make his escape while he could. He grabbed a horse from the stable and a buggy so that he could pull Tyrell along with him. He set out with intentions to find John and figure out what was going on and why he was healing like he was.
The days turned into nights as Valon rode on. He changed paths several times just to keep people from following him. He hadn’t stopped to set up a camp in days and his eyes were heavy but he wanted to move because the Reiely could have already sent his men after him. The quest was to find John, and keep Tyrell with him.
