So I've been seeing a lot of negative reviews on Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. I have noticed that a lot of people just downright say the movie is terrible and sucks. Clearly these people have either never read a comic book or are just basing it on the fact that the movie is dark and people are killed and Batman and Superman don't do that. I'm not entirely sure which is the correct answer. However this movie is setting the table for the DC Cinematic Universe in an awesome way. Providing a movie introducing the companies three best known heroes the way this movie does couldn't have been done better.
Ben Affleck.... I don't even know what to say. When I watched the film I seen the comic book and video game adaptations of the character brought to the big screen. To date he has been the best Batman on film. His Bruce Wayne was on point as well. I mean you really couldn't have asked for a better casting. You can honestly tell he put everything he had into making Batman great for this film. Henry Cavill was awesome has Superman. Gal Gadot who I wasn't for sure about was great as Wonder Woman. Jeremy Irons plays a perfect Alfred.
Now we come to Lex Luthor. I just couldn't get behind the casting of Eisenburg and I just think the character could have been casted better. He can pull off the crazy ranting lunatic but the evil super genius I just don't see it.
I had a feeling that this Film would be amazing. I mean the first time we see Batman and Superman together outside of the animated world it just has epic written all over it. The film delivered. We see an experienced Batman reliving his childhood and greatest fears through nightmares persuaded that Superman couldn't be trusted. We see A world divided against the Man of Steel and feel that he should be held responsible for his crimes. An epic battle between two of the most Iconic Comic book characters of all time. As well as the first team up of three of DC's greatest heroes.
The story starts out some what slow giving us a back story of course for the Dark Knight. Building up to the events of Man of Steel and seeing how Bruce Wayne is involved was the one of the best parts. The movie takes off after all of this is explained though and is an adventure. (I'm not spoiling anything for those of you who haven't seen it yet.)
Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice tells a great story and I recommend seeing this movie!!!!
I am looking forward to The Justice League Part 1!
