The Ghost
When we last seen Agent Coulson and the group they had just stopped Hydra, destroyed Ward/Hive and had lost Lincoln in the process. The last clip of Season 3 shown us Mack and Coulson chasing her down just missing her. We also was provided with the information that Coulson was no longer the director.
Season 4 picks up around 6 months after this with Coulson and Mack still looking for answers and following clues. They want to find Daisy/Quake and bring her in. A lot has changed because of the Sokovia Accord, the inhumans are all registered and have to be checked on periodically and there is a new director.
We get to catch up with the team, May is training combatants while Fitz is of course being a scientist. Then we have Simmons who is in with the new director and is more or less a boss over the rest of the team because of her rise to power. The team we have come to love is broken up and no longer working together in the field, but still seem to look out for one another.
Daisy however is going around hunting down leads on criminals and protecting inHumans when she comes across a new guy. One who drives a Dodge Charger that is on fire. He also has an obsession with his keys and vengeance. Yeah that's right we have Ghost Rider on Agents of Shield. No it isn't Johnny Blaze, but Robbie Reyes. He is played by Gabriel Luna and is amazing. I feel like Ghost Rider is going in the right direction and could be the main focus point for shield and Daisy for the next few episodes. I also can't believe how cool it looks for TV. I mean the CGI may not be movie quality on Television but this was better than I expected.
The show seems to be a bit darker, maybe going in that direction because of the time slot change. It's on later at night, and with the addition of Ghost Rider I think this should could push to a season 5.
The premiere of Agents of Shield was 9/20/2016 which started their 4th season. They have a lot to live up to after season 3 which I felt turned the show around for the better and I believe they can keep that going. Episode 01 was a great start. So many stories to unfold.. such as who is this Robbie Reyes/ Ghost Rider? Has Daisy gone completely dark ? Will Coulson regain control of Shield from this new director? When will we see the new director? I mean there are plenty of questions left unanswered but I think we will get around to our answers as things progress!
I give the show an over all 7/10.
*Introduction of Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes.
*Quake more open with her powers
*After effect of the Sokovia Accord
*Who is this new director? Why does no one trust him be Simmons?
Agents of Shield airs Tuesday at 10 PM Eastern on ABC so check it out!
